Post subject: KB832483 recurring notice - Windows Update
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>win2000>security (more info?)

After installing (from Windows Update patch KB832483) and restarting my
Windows 2000 servers, several of them keep notifying me again over and over
to install this same patch (KB832483) during successive logins a few days
later.. If I install the patch again and restart, it does no good. I keep
getting the message from WU that it needs to be installed (icon in the system
tray). On all servers, I currently have Windows Update set to download new
criticals and notify me. Anyone else experiencing this problem or know how I
can keep the WU prompts from this particular patch from bugging me to death..
And, FYI, It does not error when I install it and it completes sucessfully
each time. It does not ask me to restart.
